Rustic Pathways Italy programs are supervised summer travel programs for students ages 14 to 18, operating since 2023. Programs are based in Northern Italy and travel to Venice, Verona, and Lake Garda. Students cook with local hosts, maintain trails in the Lessinia foothills, and earn 5 to 36 verified service hours at a median student-to-staff ratio of 4.37:1 (maximum 7:1).
The right Italy program depends on how much travel and service a student wants. Some stay in Northern Italy for a week. Others add sea turtle conservation in Greece, or continue across Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Greece for a month. Every program travels with trained staff on a set itinerary and documents its service hours.

Rustic Pathways has operated student travel programs in Italy since 2023. Programs serve students ages 14 to 18 and combine cultural immersion, Italian cooking, and service work across the Veneto and Lombardy regions. Students explore Venice, Verona, and Lake Garda from a countryside base house.
Each program introduces Italian culture through hands-on experiences: pasta-making at a local agriturismo, guided city exploration, and trail conservation in the Lessinia foothills. Italy programs for 2027 are not open yet. The programs below are the ones Rustic Pathways ran in 2026.
