Chang Mo Ahn

Program Leader

Chang Mo Ahn is a Program Leader at Rustic Pathways in South Korea. He has led 10 Rustic Pathways programs in Korea since April 2025, including all 3 summer 2026 sessions of Japan & Korea Teen Travel Program: Tokyo to Seoul and community service programs in Shinan. Chang Mo has lived in Seoul year-round since 2019 and holds an Economics degree from Yonsei University. He is of Korean and Guatemalan descent, grew up in Guatemala, and speaks Spanish, English, and Korean (TOPIK Level 6). On program, Chang Mo runs group logistics across Seoul's subway system, leads students through Gwangjang Market, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Bukchon Hanok Village, and coordinates community service days with local organizations. Before joining Rustic Pathways, he taught SAT, TOEFL, and AP courses for over 1,000 hours, working with students transitioning between international education systems. Growing up in Guatemala, where walking through the city was rarely an option, shaped how Chang Mo introduces students to Seoul: a city safe enough to walk at 3am, where a bag left in public for 50 minutes is still sitting where you left it.
