On the call

What actually happens in the 30 minutes

First

We ask what you are solving for

Fit, timing, cost, safety, maturity. It is usually not the question people open with.

Then

We narrow the options

From everything running in your window down to a handful worth comparing.

After

You get it in writing

An email with what we discussed: programs, dates, prices, and what is included.

Before the call

Bring these if you have them

None are required. Plenty of good calls start with nothing more than a grade and a question.

  • Who is travellingA student's age, or the grade and rough group size for a school trip.
  • WhenSpring break and summer run on the high school calendar. A rough window is enough.
  • Anywhere already in mindTwo or three places narrows it quickly. So does ruling places out.
  • What you want out of itService, language, adventure, or a subject like marine biology.

Questions

Before you book

Is this a sales call?

No. Counselors are paid to place students in the right program, not to close on the call. If nothing fits, they will tell you.

Should the student be on the call?

If the schedule allows, yes. The student answers the questions that matter most.

I am a teacher without dates or numbers yet. Too early?

No. School trips have run on anything from a month's notice to eighteen months out. Most schools start nine to eighteen months ahead.

What if I am outside the United States?

The scheduler shows times in your own timezone. Pick whatever works where you are.

Can I move or cancel the call?

The confirmation email carries reschedule and cancel links. Neither needs a phone call.
