    Terezín: persecution and remembrance

    A coach takes the group to Terezín, the fortress town north of Prague that the Nazi regime used as a ghetto from 1941 to 1945.

    A specialist guide introduces the former ghetto and its context, then the memorial exhibitions and the Small Fortress, which served as a police prison, a separate function from the ghetto in the main town. The group returns to Prague with time set aside for facilitated reflection.

Groups and teachers
Groups start at ten students; we consider smaller groups individually. One teacher's Program Tuition is free for every eight paying students.
Rooming
Students share rooms, separated by gender, each with their own bed. Teachers get private rooms.

The price doesn't cover flights to and from the program, travel insurance, medical insurance, or pocket money.
Flights and documents
Book the international flights yourselves, or ask us to arrange them. Passports and visas are on the families, and we'll guide them through it. No itinerary flies inside Czechia.
Supervision
Program Leaders lead scheduled activities, stay on site and are available overnight. The approved itinerary specifies any free time, and Program Leaders are present during it.
Effort
Low effort is a travel day with little walking. Moderate is a full day on foot in the Old Town, a castle visit with steps and cobbles, or a plant tour with long spells of standing.
Flexibility
The Škoda plant tour runs on weekdays and is fixed before the departure dates are. The Jewish Museum sites close on Saturdays and Jewish holidays, so those days move with the calendar.
