Rustic Pathways uses American Airlines for our escorted group flights from North America to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (SDQ). Students beginning their trip in North America are required to depart on our escorted group flight from one of our gateway airports. Students are responsible for arranging their own domestic travel to our gateway city.

Students joining our programs from outside North America are responsible for arranging all their own travel to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (SDQ) during a specified arrival window. Arriving outside this window may incur special transportation arrangements and fees. Please reach out to your Personal Travel Advisor to confirm specific arrival and departure airports and times.

Our programs in the Dominican Republic connect with those in Costa Rica and Peru.

If you wish to connect the Dominican Republic with Peru, we recommend that you travel to Peru first and then connect to the Dominican Republic.

Visa Information

Students traveling on United States passports are not required to obtain a Dominican Republic visa unless the duration of the stay exceeds 60 days. Upon arrival in the Dominican Republic, students will purchase a tourist card for $10.

Students traveling with Rustic Pathways on passports not issued by the United States are responsible for determining their own visa requirements. Please check with the appropriate consulate or embassy.
