Rustic Pathways uses United Airlines for our escorted group flights from the United States to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO). Students leaving from the United States may either depart on one of our chaperoned group flights from a gateway airport (see pricing below) or may choose to arrange their own airfare to their destination country with our Self-Managed Airfare. Students on chaperoned group flights are responsible for arranging their own domestic travel to our gateway city.
The EWR airport website and IAH airport website have details about flight status, walk time to gates, and security wait times, along with a terminal maps for students with connecting flights who need help navigating the airport.
Students joining our programs from outside the United States are responsible for arranging their own travel to their destination. You will be provided with specific arrival and departure time windows. Arriving or departing outside these windows may incur special transportation arrangements and fees. Students may alternatively choose to join one of our chaperoned group flights departing from one of our United States gateway airports in which case they would be responsible for arriving to and departing from that gateway airport. Please reach out to your Personal Travel Advisor to confirm specific arrival and departure airports and times.
