Rustic Pathways uses Air China for our escorted group flights from the United States to Beijing, China (PEK). Students leaving from the United States may either depart on one of our chaperoned group flights from a gateway airport (see pricing below*) or may choose to arrange their own airfare to their destination country with our Self-Managed Airfare. Please note that choosing Self-Managed Airfare will incur a $175 fee. Students on chaperoned group flights are responsible for arranging their own domestic travel to our gateway city.
Students joining our programs from outside the United States are responsible for arranging their own travel to their destination. These students are also required to pay the $175 Self-Managed Airfare fee. You will be provided with specific arrival and departure time windows. Arriving or departing outside these windows may incur special transportation arrangements and fees. Students may alternatively choose to join one of our chaperoned group flights departing from one of our United States gateway airports in which case they would be responsible for arriving to and departing from that gateway airport. These students are not required to pay the $175 Self-Managed Airfare fee. Please reach out to your Personal Travel Advisor to confirm specific arrival and departure airports and times.
*The cost of the Ultimate Asia airfare is $2,750 for chaperoned group flights arriving into Bejing, China (PEK) and departing from Bangkok, Thailand (BKK).
- Los Angeles (LAX) - $1,836
- Beijing, China (PEK)
Some programs involve travel within the destination country. This airfare is charged separately and is dependent upon the program. Some programs have single in country flights, while other programs have multiple internal segments.
Programs within Asia and Southeast Asia all connect easily. If you wish to connect a program in China with a program in Fiji or Australia, we recommend that you first travel to the South Pacific and then China. Contact us for more information or a price quote.
