Hone your language skills with a combination of formal instruction and immersion in the Cordillera Central, also known as the Caribbean Alps. Begin two days of Spanish classes in Jarabacoa, and then head to the rural mountain village of La Angostura. Experience local life while spending the next couple of days in homestays. Practice your Spanish while tackling community service projects and getting to know the villagers. Round out the program by relaxing on the beach and exploring Santo Domingo’s Colonial Zone. This immersion experience will allow students to perfect their Spanish skills while also learning about this nation’s warm culture and rich history.

I needed to speak Spanish to better communicate with all the new friends I made.
