The England program is based entirely in London and its surroundings. Students use the Tube and city buses to move through the city, stay in a mid-range hotel in a well-connected neighborhood, and spend two full days doing hands-on service work at a community garden in Hackney. Day trips reach Windsor Castle and Stonehenge by coach.
London is one of the most visited cities on earth. Most teen tours stay on the tourist circuit. Rustic Pathways goes deeper.
The Hackney to Westminster program works because it combines what London has in abundance — accessible history, world-class museums, theatre, iconic landmarks — with something most London tours skip entirely: real community engagement. Students spend two days working in Hackney, one of London’s most densely populated and historically diverse boroughs, contributing to a local urban greening project alongside Londoners.
