A motivated educator, Marc enjoys working with youth in all phases of life. Growing up playing a number of different sports led Marc to many jobs relating to coaching and teaching, and eventually to Rustic Pathways. He is an avid outdoorsman and spent many summers working as an ocean lifeguard on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. His love for travel, teaching, and the outdoors make Marc a natural director for our operations as he continues to create new and exciting programs in the U.S.
Going on her father’s university field trips to Costa Rica as a child, Ellery learned the value of experiential education and travel at an early age. She has been working in travel, adventure, and education since before she graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in culture, health, and the environment. Before assuming her role on the program staffing and training team, she worked as the New Orleans Program Manager, led programs for Rustic in five countries, and spent two years in Ethiopia as a Peace Corps volunteer.
Since studying psychology and music at the University of Iowa, Dani has spent the majority of her working life trip leading, teaching, and directing outdoor education programs. Whether it was leading five young women on a 45-day backpacking trip in Alaska, writing and executing lessons plans for undergraduate students at Fort Lewis College’s Adventure Education program, or training her staff on risk management practices prior to their backcountry trips, Dani is thrilled to bring her experience to the Rustic Pathways USA team. With a love of intentional travel, adventure and a particular interest in discovering her own backyard, you can often find Dani hiking, biking, or climbing around her home in Boulder, Colorado.
