It is estimated that the country lost nearly one billion native animals and its devastation is being felt across the country. Most visitors to Australia will not see or feel any impact of these fires unless they specifically choose to travel to affected regions such as southern New South Wales, southeast Victoria, and Kangaroo Island in South Australia.
As bushfires and drought continue to impact Australia the Rustic Pathways Foundation is prioritizing providing extra funding and support to our partners at the WRREA to rescue wildlife impacted directly by the fires and drought.

These international volunteer programs, which provide opportunities to engage in fulfilling work while immersing in a foreign culture, are an enriching experience for anyone.

To get a taste of true Australian food, you should understand how local foods and international influence combined to create Australia's modern, multicultural cuisine.
