Rustic Pathways uses Singapore Airlines and its subsidiary Silk Air for our escorted group flights from North America to Cambodia. Students beginning their trip in North America are required to depart on one of our escorted group flights from one of our gateway airports – either Los Angeles (LAX) or New York (JFK). Students are responsible for arranging their own domestic travel to one of our gateway cities.
Please note that students fly to Singapore (SIN) first, and then on to their final location in Cambodia on Silk Air (a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines). Students will have a fuel stop in Frankfurt, Germany (FRA) if flying via New York (JFK) or Seoul, South Korea (ICN) if flying via Los Angeles. Most Cambodia programs begin in Phnom Penh and end in Siem Reap.
Students joining our programs from outside North America are responsible for arranging their own travel to Cambodia during a specified arrival window. Arriving outside this window may incur special transportation arrangements and fees. Please reach out to your Personal Travel Advisor to confirm specific arrival and departure airports and times.
Students departing from outside North America are responsible for making all their own airfare arrangements.
Some programs may have additional internal airfare costs. Please reference the program page for details.
Some programs involve travel within the destination country. This airfare is charged separately and is dependent upon the program. Some programs have single in country flights, while other programs have multiple internal segments.
Programs within Southeast Asia and Asia all connect easily. If you wish to connect a program in Cambodia with a program in Fiji or Australia, please organize your travel to the South Pacific first and then connect to Southeast Asia. Contact us for more information or a price quote.
Rustic Pathways will arrange visas on arrival for all students traveling to Cambodia on United States passports.
Students traveling with Rustic Pathways on passports not issued by the United States are responsible for determining their own visa requirements. Please check with the appropriate consulate or embassy.
All students are required to bring four passport size photos with them to obtain their visa upon arrival.
