Rustic Named Finalist for Two Prestigious WYSTC Youth Travel Awards

We are excited to announce that Rustic Pathways has been selected as a finalist in two categories, Best Social Responsibility Initiative and Best Youth Tour Operator, for the 2018 Global Youth Travel Awards (GYTA).

The GYTA’s are a prestigious set of awards presented annually at the World Youth and Students Travel Conference to recognize outstanding performers in the youth, student, and educational travel industry who are also making unmatched contributions to their field. For the past three years, Rustic has been a finalist in the Best Youth Tour Operator category, ultimately taking home the prize in 2015.

The winner of Best Youth Tour Operator is determined each year through an online poll that is shared throughout the Rustic community and we are beyond grateful to everyone who voted for us. This year we were also chosen for Best Social Responsibility Initiative by WYSTC based on our application in which we shared Rustic’s mission to incorporate sustainable practices into every aspect of our work. This includes our commitment to decreasing our environmental footprint, stimulating local economies, supporting local community initiatives, and teaching our students responsible travel practices – so for us, this award means everything!

Thank you again to all those who voted for us and please check out the WYSTC website to learn more about about this unique conference and organization! Fingers crossed!
