Eight destinations (Havana, Trinidad, Viñales, Santiago, Cayo Levisa, Cienfuegos, Camaguey, Sierra Maestra) —1,367 miles away — 16 days in different hotels/hostels, and 1 coach bus touring through Cuba.

My experience in Cuba in the summer of 2017 was quite special, and I have been fortunate enough to share my experience, through my photographs, with my friends, family, and community.

I decided to go to Cuba with a program that was run through Rustic Pathways and taught by a professional photographer.

My experience in Cuba has been exceptional due to its rich culture, vibrant colors and its beautiful people. The relatively flat to mountainous landscapes to the beauty of this island.

It is a place where you feel like time has stopped. It gives you a feeling of nostalgia; a destination where your grandparents possibly had gone for their honeymoon.

The historic colonial buildings in washed-out pastel colors, the American classic cars in front of them, along with the Cuban music and food, the sandy beaches and the tall mountains are heaven for a photographer and I hope that I was able to capture those moments through my lens and bring them back home.
